Vanessa Henderson stars as Camille Guilino. This character begins her journey to the top 1% battling bulimia, a really bad relationship and not being taking seriously in an industry where blonds come a dime a dozen. But she fights for herself and soon the sexy Sicilian proves that she too has what it takes to be "The One Percent" Nothing and no one can stop her now!
Vanessa Henderson is an actress and singer from Massachusetts. After graduating from Mansfield High School, where Vanessa enjoyed the lead roles of Rusty in “Footloose”, Maria in “The Sound of Music”, and Jenny in “Scrooge”, Vanessa attended the The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan. She received a degree in Musical Theatre, and then packed her bags for the golden coast of Los Angeles. She is a member of the Breakin’ Through Acting Workshop with Choice Skinner. Her current projects include “The One Percent” web series as well as “Nervosa”, a film about disorders and demons. Vanessa enjoys hiking Runyan Canyon, baking, her “kids” Ginger and Winston (pups), and classic movies. Her idols are Judy Garland and Bette Davis, and she strives to achieve success in her career as they did in theirs. Marcie B. Scott stars as Arianna Bradley. This character transforms herself from being unsure of who she is and where she fits, in this tough as nails industry, to sacrificing everything from love, her family and changing her body just to make it to "The One Percent." She becomes a force to be reckoned with!
Marcie B. Scott is an incredibly diverse and talented Actress and Producer from Gray, Louisiana. Upon graduating from H.L. Bourgeois high school, Marcie attended Louisiana State University where she studied Theatre and acquired a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Theatre. It was doing her years at LSU that she had the opportunity to star in the stage play “Freedom Riders”, and received critical acclaim for her performance as the lead character, Elizabeth. This was just the beginning of Marcie’s journey as a performer. After graduating from LSU, Marcie then made the ambitious journey 2,000 miles away to Los Angeles, California to attend The New York Film Academy’s Acting for Film/Television program. It was here that Marcie had the opportunity to hone her skills as an Actress as well as work on several independent projects and gain experience working on set via the Universal Studios back lot.Continuing her training, Marcie began attending Choice Skinner’s Breaking Through Acting Workshop. It was through this amazing class that Marcie developed the skills and confidence to prepare her to be an A-List level Actress with integrity and professionalism. As a determined and highly ambitious woman, Marcie soon realized that in order to truly succeed in this business, you have to wear many hats, and with that, the idea to Executive Produce and Co-Star in the web series “The One Percent” came to fruition. In addition to her Executive Producing duties on “The One Percent”, Marcie is also moving into creating a web site, along with Michael Burton, that will allow Producers and Creators of web series content, the opportunity to showcase their projects in a very unique way that will reach a vast audience via the web and TV. “The One Percent” web series is only the first project of many that intends to produce and develop. Marcie also enjoys keeping fit and staying active, traveling, reading and participating in volunteer work through the Midnight Mission and Union Rescue Mission Organizations.
Daffany McGaray Clark stars as Maria Diaz aka "Vanity". This character knows how to play the "game" and will make it to "The One Percent" by any means necessary! !
Daffany McGaray Clark, the multi-faceted actress reigns from Chicago, IL. Being the youngest of three, she felt she was destined to be on stage performing in front of an audience. Daffany began her journey in high school theatre, gradually working her way into numerous independent productions while attending Columbia College in Chicago, IL. Her talent for acting was undeniable and she was shortly cast in “The Soap Opera” pilot. Upon receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater she was determined to follow her passion and relocated to the City of Angels to pursue her dream. Being no stranger to hard work, Daffany quickly became aware of what was required of her to thrive and attain success in this industry. She recognized the necessity to be a diverse talent, mastering the ability to take on even the most diverse roles. It wasn’t long before she gained a reputation for being quick witted and adaptable with an ‘in your face’ charisma and delivery. This style gained her notoriety on several independent projects from the “Break Through Acting Workshop” taught by Choice Skinner. Her most recent project is titled “The One Percent”, in which she formally Co-Produced and currently Co-Stars in. Through her work off and on the stage, she continues to set herself apart with class, professionalism, perseverance and dedication to her art. Daffanys diverse ambitions also lend her to upcoming plans to start a charity organization aimed at mentoring young adults in pursing their dreams as well as a non-profit organization tackling the epidemic of homelessness, drug, and alcohol abuse. This bright young woman is not only talented; she has “Stardom” written all over her and is definitely one to watch.
I am beyond excited to premier The One Percent trailer!! This web series has been a labor of hard work and passion for all of those who were involved in creating it. From myself, as Executive Producer to the Co-Executive Producers and Actresses, Vanessa Henderson, and Daffany McGaray Clark , to the writer, Benjamin C Jones, and the amazing director/editor Choice Skinner. Our main goal was to create a smart, funny, provocative and entertaining web series about that A-List, Star level success of being The One Percent. I mean lets face it, everybody and I mean EVERYBODY who comes out to Los Angeles with the dreams of being in the entertainment industry, wants to make it to that top 1%. And yes that is the number... a measly 1%! And we are all working diligently night and day to get there. When I originally decided to do this web series back in November of 2010, I was initially just interested in creating my own project as an actress and make a venue for myself to showcase my talents. Yes it was all about me, me me :) But after considering the concept of the web series, and the idea of what it really takes to get to the top 1% in this industry, it started to mean more to me and the other actresses who were involved in it. We all started sharing our intimate stories of what it has been like for us and we realized that at the end of the day, no matter what dream you are chasing, whether to be a lawyer, doctor, athlete, teacher or Halle Berry herself, it takes extreme focus, dedication and sheer determination. And sometimes mixed in with that, is some extremely sad and painful moments, rejection, joy, happiness and everything in between. It is truly a roller coaster ride. And The One Percent web series will take you along for that ride. Hang on tight!
